WHO WE ARE
Founded in 1976 by Matt Bales, MEB Construction began with a commitment to quality craftsmanship and integrity. Initially a homebuilder, Matt recognized the need for specialized remodeling services and shifted the company’s focus to home additions and renovations. His dedication to excellence laid the foundation for MEB Construction’s strong reputation in the industry.
Matt was also a devoted family man, enjoying time with his four children and seven grandchildren. He found joy in marathons, annual fishing trips, and giving back to his community through the St. Vincent de Paul Society and Boy Scouts, where he volunteered for over 30 years. His vision and values continue to influence MEB Construction today.
Now, Grant Bales leads the company, continuing his father’s legacy with a focus on quality and client satisfaction. A part of MEB Construction since he was 13, Grant joined the company full-time after graduation from Eastern Illinois University.
He is a proud father of two, and enjoys camping and fishing in his free time. Under Grant's leadership, MEB Construction remains committed to delivering high-quality remodeling solutions that exceed client expectations.
